Liaison librarians are assigned responsibility for building and maintaining Herrick's collections in certain subject areas. Purchasing decisions are influenced by input from faculty and students, within the parameters of Herrick's guildelines for the collection of library materials.

Your liaison librarian can provide specialized reference services, including:
- assistance with database searching
- non-routine, in depth, subject-related research questions
- referrals to additional resources or information providers
- establishing library support for new courses or programs
